faq about villa rentals

It can be risky renting through agencies that don’t know their properties personally.
Villa Luciano is owned and operated by an indigenous Florentine family who has lived in Londa for generations.

We'd like to stay in a traditional Villa but are concerned about being totally on our own without a concierge or tour guide.
The Villa management is on site, in fact, across the street. An array of services is available such as cooking classes, wine tasting and tours, housekeeping, and chef.

How do we know the Villa is realistically represented without association with a large organization or published in travel books?
You can speak with Paolo Spagnoli personally before booking and visit The Villa’s own website packed with photos and information.

Which major tourist sites are easy to get to from Londa?
Florence is within 40 minutes by car or train. Siena, San Gimignano, Greve in Chianti and Arezzo are within an hour. Venezia and Pisa are within 2 hours.

Is Londa remote and difficult to get to?
It is easy to fly right into Florence and the Villa is a short drive away in an intimate vacation town known mostly by Italians and local people. It is centrally located but off the usual tourist track offering a uniquely Italian experience away from crowds.

Are there restaurants and services near the Villa? I don’t want to be too isolated.
Restaurants, ATMs, bars and markets are within walking distance of the Villa.

Isn't it expensive to rent a lavish home in Italy?
No, The average cost per person is a fraction of what you pay for even second-class hotels and offers a more authentic, luxurious experience.
